Getting creative

I recently came across some Martha Stewart card kits and decided to put my own spin on them. They're really fun and it's exciting to see what can be done. I feel my creativity growing more each day, but this is just the start.

Hi Everyone!

Next week I get to go on my first real vacation as an adult. Us trolls (That's what they call us Michiganders who live below Mackinac Bridge here in Michigan.) are going to be taking a fall leaf tour of sorts along with other site seeing of the Upper Penninsula.

Rather than run out and buy a bunch of memory cards for my camera, I decided to just take it along with me and post pictures as I go. This way I get to take everyone with me. I guess that explains the reason for the blog!

Our schedule will be as follows:

First stop: St Ignace where we will spend the night and visit Mackinac (pronounced Mackinaw) Island where I hear there are no cars allowed. I can't wait to get some pictures of that historic island!

Next, we'll be heading up to the Taquamenon Falls and spend a couple of nights in a cabin at the park. I'm really looking forward to this because for some reason I am obsessed with spotting a Moose! Hee! Hee!

Next stop, Whitefish point for a day visit then we'll be heading to Munising where we'll lay our heads down in a comfy bed and breakfast. In Munising, we'll be seeing the Pictured rocks. I've looked at a few pictures on the internet and it's absolutely beautiful. The water is so blue. I hope my camera can keep up!

Trips not over yet! From Munising, we'll travel to Petoskey where I've been promised if I can't find a Petoskey Stone, I'll get to purchase one. As I understand it, the Petoskey Stone is a naturally occuring stone formed from fossils of coral that once occupied the shores of Lake Michigan and you can only find the stone in this region. Wish me luck!!!

Watch for pics daily. I'll try my best.
